Thanks, much useful. One thing would like to see in this is aligning the Menu to the left of the screen / Menu bar. http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/171 - This applet has the feature "Now you can align the menu to the screen edge." Perhaps you can provide this as configuration item in settings?

Needs to be updated for Cinnamon 2.0! Causes Cinnamon (v. 2.0.14) to crash and run in fallback mode repeatedly. Uninstalling the applet fixes it.

Good work! But Cinnamon has a new file manager - Nemo. I've replaced your 'nautilus' code with freedesktop.org 'xdg-open' and it works! For home dir - ''xdg-open ." For documents - "xdg-open Documents" etc.... With this code your menu will be file-manager-independent.

Very nice applet. It could be that it won't run on cinnamon 1.8 .If it is like that could you fix the applet? My desktop looks actually like this : http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/3147/fr4h92h6_png.htm

Very nice applet, I have a few suggestions, 1. Menu should be resizable, when clicking on all programs it would be nice to be able to fit at least 10 entries or so 2. When clicking all programs the text is replaced with favourites, the arrow should point backwards to indicate you can go back to the first section 3. when typing a search the text at the top 'back to categorys' you've mis-spelt 'categories' 4. An option to always bring up 'all programs' rather than using the last viewed list would be nice, great effort, keep up the good work

Great menu, but is there any way to change it so your favourites are displayed every time you open the menu instead of it remembering that you clicked on all programs?

When sesrching it would be nice to have the first match selected. In current version I always have to utilize the mouse

I really like this - being able to feature the favourites, but still search the rest of the menus one of the things I miss most about the original Mint Menu. I don't know if you're looking for suggestions, but one thing it would be really nice to be able to do is to change the File Manager locations on the top right - I can't be the only user who's long ago removed the original Documents, Pictures etc folders. If they could either be picked from our Nautilus bookmarks, or there was some way to edit them manually, that would be really useful.
