This is the default gnome-shell theme ported to cinnamon. It may help fedora users get through a transition to cinnamon - it may simply appeal to users who like vanilla gnome-shell aesthetics.

Font: Cantarell
Wallpaper (scroll down and download the tar.xz folder, it's in there)

It is strongly recommended that you install the Cantarell font as the theme otherwise falls back to the chunky and unattractive Sans-serif font. In Mint/Ubuntu: "sudo apt-get install fonts-cantarell", or look for "Cantarell" in your software manager.

Updates
- Dec 17, 2012: Improved workspaceOSD
- Dec 13, 2012: Updated with gnome-shell 3.7.2.1 changes and slightly polished

Thank you, bimsebasse. I really like the Gnome shell theme and you've ported it very well to Cinnamon. I'm currently using it in Cinnamon 1.8 and I haven't come across any problems yet. Will it receive the certification soon?

Zerwan, have you updated? The lightbox isn't set to black anymore, it's .4 alpha #000 as in GS.

I really like this theme, but I have one suggestion: when asked for the administrator password, the screen should not go completely opaque black and transparency should be used. This would be less "aggressive" and correspond more to the Gnome 3 version of this situation.

bwat, doesn't anymore - it wasn't an issue as much as an idea the gnome-shell theme makers had :o) They have now gone back to a simple dim effect and so, then, has this theme.

I'm having an issue with this theme. Whenever I use alt + f2 everything fades completely black (well I can still see the alt f2 dialogue, but everything behind it goes totally black). it only happens with this theme. I'm using the latest cinnamon 1.6 on mint 14.

Good theme) My "work around" looks like Gnome-shell, but it's better)

Nice, but you're missing the checkbox and radio buttons in your themes to be fully compatible with 1.6 (although Cinnamon itself doesn't use these widgets, applets probably will).

Thanks shdo, the issue is gone in the newest version :o)

Good! I have a tip to you. When we go to the search and put some text in the box the menu expands in horizontal, because the size of letters change if the user changed the size of font in the configurations, to avoid this bug change the follow code in cinnamon.css: .menu-category-button { padding-top: 7px; padding-left: 7px; padding-right: 7px; padding-bottom: 7px; } Without the font-size. Thank you and congratulations!

Excellent theme. I had to reduce the font size on the panel to 8.5pt Arial bold since on my laptop the app names were so wide I couldn't read the names easily. Thanks for the tip on bottom panel only usage.

The default theme in GNOME Shell is my favourite thing about GNOME, so its great to have this theme available for Cinnamon. Many thanks for your work!

Shits and Giggles my ass, bimbase; this theme is quite good. Good work, man. There is still a spacing issue regarding panel icons, but other than that the theme is amazing. Real good work in porting it to Cinnamon, we're lacking elegant dark themes. Cheers. Danko.

Whats good in it, is that fonts and icons are bigger then on original cinnamon
