Cinnamon-Classic 1.4 is a  theme with a classic look  while retaining the Linux Mint Cinnamon original Menu....

Compatible with the latest release of Cinnamon version 1.4.

Changes include:

  • Grey task bar  (Classic Look and Feel)
  • Enlarged Icons and Text with spacing between icons...
  • Classic Gnome 2 feel...

Extract to .themes folder in Home...Select cinnamon-settings from menu...Click on Themes and choose Cinnamon-Classic....

If you are using your computer for productive work, this is the theme to use...We are using this theme for our programming and office/home use....

Change the menu.png file from Cinnamon-settings - Panel

Browse for the menu.png file inside the Cinnamon-Classic 1.4 theme folder....

    Hi Shelley, Now I? getting to feel at home. I use icons: gnome-wise (fromthe old gnomewise theme), windows: Mint-X and gtk: Mint-X-metal. The larger Panel icons are great. It's the old Mint now: Thanks!! Even dug up the old Mint 7 background (The green beer bottle look) One thing: How about a Mint-X-metal menu look?

    Pretty Nice! I like the overall look, but I can't stop thinking that the menu and popups should match the theme; they just look like the default Cinnamon; fix that and it will be a hell of a theme. I'll be waiting. Cheeers. Danko.

    Did anyone run Pidgin while using this theme? Its tray icon either disappears or has a strange white rectangle underneath :)

    Pidgin is working fine for me with this theme. No Problem. I love the big icons of this theme..Good icon. Five stars from me.
