Shutdown Linux

This desklet is a button that allows you to quickly shut down your computer from the desktop. If you want to move this desklet try to grab it by the invisible space around it (it can be a bit unreliable) or enable desklet decorations and grab it by the header.

Customization

You can customize pretty much everything: icon, size, font, color etc.

Remarks

This desklet was originally made by @phpdreamer. At the time of writing, this desklet had been abandoned for years and didn't work properly. I decided to basically remake it almost from scratch under the same name. I did it, because I believe a desklet with such basic functionality shouldn't be left broken and unmaintained because it might look bad to/confuse new users. There are other desklets that have very similar features (notably: mintoo@sujitagarwal).

Works for me. Double click to activate and move by grabbing upper left corner of icon title. Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon Cinnamon Ver: 6.4.8 Linux Kernel: 6.8.0-63-generic

It would make sense, on a 32" monitor, to be able to move it so we don't have to travel miles to shutdown machine.

Good idea, however, can only be used for me if I can place the desklet anywhere. Pity!

Works fine on LM 19.1, LMDE 3 "Cindy" and LMDE 4"Debbie" Beta. But in all cases, I simply cannot reposition the icon to where I want it. It sets itself up, more or less top left, in the second icon down position, covering up what is already there, rendering it inaccessible. You have to "Customize Desktop", turn off auto arrange select "Horizontal" alignment and then rearrange the other icons around the Shutdown Desklet. Most inconvenient.

Not working on Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon. You get an unclickable, unmoveable, unuseable shutdown image and name.

I am using 19.2 and it does not seem to work at all even after a Cinnamon restart. Am I missing something ?
