Website  Download

I take no credit for this theme, it was originally made for Gnome Shell 3.2 by tiheum.

It was my favorite theme for a long time, but It seems that he didn't have the time to make it evolve to Gnome Shell 3.4 nor to Cinnamon.

Important note: Tiheum made a new theme version, which was adapted to Cinnamon by the famous bimsebasse :) and can be downloaded here: Faience+ 1.0

Theme elements

  • A small fix which reduces the search field width

  • Cinnamon 1.6  support
  • Ripple image updated
  • Checkbox and radiobutton added

Original theme updates

Additions to the original theme:

  • Cinnamon overview specific parts (add / remove workspace / workspace name selector, etc.)
  • Cinnamon menu (popup-menu)

  • Calendar's look update

Installation instructions

Please see the github repository homepage for how to install the theme with the recommanded GTK3 theme, font and background image.

Additional notes

Todo: see TODO.txt commited file.

I opened a github repository to help keep track of modifications. Please feel free to open tickets and add some feedback there. All suggestions are welcome.

@bwat47 I reduced the search field width for now. I'm trying to find a way to adjust the search field size automatically to the menu width. You can also try the new Faience theme ported to Cinnamon by bimsebasse, listed as Faience+ : http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/themes/view/148

menu looks really glitched for me in the latest cinnamon. I'm using simpler menu applet in this screenshot, but I checked the default cinnamon menu too and its got the exact same problem: http://i.imgur.com/ZQywK.png

Nice! Had this on my todo-ist for ages. If it looks very familiar to some it's because the default Cinnamon theme was very much inspired by Faience.
