Are you using the Enhanced Sound applet? You should remove the `sound@cinnamon.org` applet from panel. Use v12.0.3 of Enhanced Sound applet. Please tell me if that works fine now.

https://ibb.co/xnC0Sm9 not sure how relevant this is but the enhanced sound applet recognises the album art and metadata just fine

Great! I regularly work on the Enhanced Sound applet to improve it.

I'm not sure if you understood me correctly, but I'm saying that while the Enhanced Sound applet works greatly, the album art desklet is still failing to display on my desktop. I've also made sure to double check that "Show Album Art on desktop" was enabled in the Enhanced Sound settings

Open this desklet settings. Check "Activate Album Art display at startup". Move the desklet to a desktop area where it appears entirely. Log out then log in. Retry playing a song with celluloid or VLC (the song file must contain an image).

the metadata does show when i play music through vlc or celluloid! but the cover art is still not displaying, unfortunately. https://ibb.co/rKR8ff29 also, are streaming services like spotify not supported? that's how i listen to the vast majority of my music

All that works fine for me with - sound150@claudiux version 12.0.3 (2025-05-04 13:10:48) - AlbumArt3.0@claudiux version 2.3.1 (2025-05-05 16:57:38) - Spotify version 1.2.59. I'm also using the applet Radio3.0@claudiux version 3.4.4 (2025-05-05 16:57:38).

Hello. Thank you so much 4 this. A strange thing is, on my desktop this Desklet appears 2 times, one near the left corner / and on as it should be with all the settings for Desklets and moveable. The left one is not reachable with the mouse and settings are not possible. (although it takes the setting from the 2nd (normal) one on restart of Radio3) Maybe it has something to do with the albumcover setting in the Radio3 rightclick menu? Thank you, best regards.

Hello, Make sure you have the latest versions of this desklet and of the “Enhanced Sound” and “Radio3.0” applets. Using the context menu of one of these two applets, open the “Album Art” settings and move this desklet to the desired location. Log-out then log-in. The problem should be solved. Thanks for using these Spices! Best regards

I'm new to Linux and love this! I come from using Wallpaper Engine on Windows and this has one of my favourite features? Do you think it would be possible to add more elements from Enhanced Sound like the Album name and Song name? The Album cover looks a bit empty without the name next to it. Amazing work!
